State officials have voiced their opinions on the decision, including Senators Shelley Moore-Capito and Joe Manchin, along with Governor Jim Justice and Ryan Weld... all saying how disappointed they are and are concerned about the negative impacts this decision will have on the mountain state.

Mill workers are also in disbelief, with many saying they took the job hoping they’d be able to support their families.

“We pay our taxes. We come to work. We do the right thing. And this is what we get. We lose our jobs.”

The museum is now run by Director Kristina Estle, who works hard to continue Dr. Mattox’s legacy.

Two local elementary schools make over 1400 Valentines for a good cause

Finally, this week, small hands with big hearts brought smiles to the faces of 715 nursing home residents this Valentine's Day.

Students at Glen Dale and Central McMechen Elementary spent the last few weeks handmaking over 1400 Valentine's Day cards.

They colored the cards and wrote a special note on the inside.

Their main goal was to show kindness is free and to bring a smile to all those who received their cards.
