MARSHALL COUNTY, W.Va (WTRF) - Koleton Caruso waived his right to a preliminary hearing in Marshall County Magistrate Court on Friday morning.

Prosecuting Attorney, Joe Canestraro, says his misdemeanor charges have been dropped, and his case is now being moved to circuit court.

Caruso faces multiple felony charges.

"He has a plethora of felony charges at this point. Felony destruction of property, felony entering without breaking at Kroger, malicious assault on an officer, fleeing from an officer with injury, and fleeing with reckless indifference. It's my understanding he is being investigated in other counties in another surrounding state for felony offenses. So, he's got a long road to go."

Caruso allegedly led police on a chase on Feb. 19 which caused destruction of two police cruisers and injuring a Marshall County Sheriff Deputy.

He is also the suspect in two local robberies in Belmont County. Both are under investigation.
